Originally discovered in 1815 this snail is one of the best cleanup crew there is! Feeding on diatoms, hair and film algae and even Cyanobacteria!
They have a special ability to drop the back section of their body (the foot) to leave it behind for predators when they escape.
They are prolific breeders in captivity making them one of our ideal choices to offer to reefers and come in a few different color varieties!
Stomatella Impertusa
