About K&P Aquaculture

we are a small Business studying coral propagation and ecology while offering corals, live foods and macroalgae's to the public. We provide quality aquacultured corals that have been handpicked and grown at our own facility or by other trusted local coral farmers.  all corals that don't come from our facility are put through a strict quarantine process to ensure all corals stay pest free. we also grow all of our phytoplankton and copepods in house to ensure each harvest is not just healthy, but abundant in life. Here at k&P we also care about providing as much information as we can to make this hobby easy and fun for all. We offer shipping anywhere within the continental US and always cover corals that arrive dead.

About the Owners

PAIGE

Paige was born on guam, but lived most of her childhood in Washington State. She spent her younger adult life working in sales, customer service, hospitality, and the tourist industry.  it was when she moved to Hawaii back in 2015 where she met Krista. 6 years later, in 2021 Paige wanted to help krista turn a dream she had into reality. she now works side by side with krista managing K&P Aquaculture. Paige is also k&p's live food specialist. she grows our own in house live phytoplankton and is the reason k&p is becoming known for providing the best bottle of copepods around! she is also the photographer behind all of the corals you see posted on the website. Paige keeps the business running smoothly and is the reason we can provide some of the best live foods!

KRISTA

Krista grew up in utah and later attended college in Hawaii where she studied Marine Biology. She worked for several zoos and aquariums, worked on a dive boat and was PADI certified while volunteering in coral conservation and Reef Projects during her time there. unfortunately SHE WAS SET BACK ABOUT 3 YEARS After being Kicked out of school for coming out as gay. she enrollED into a new school wherE she graduated with a bachelors degree in Environmental Science emphasizing in Marine Biology.

when she moved to Washington state she worked for several Local fish storeS WHERE HER LOVE FOR corals ONLY GREW FROM THERE. SHE FELT THERE WAS BETTER AND MORE THAT SHOULD BE DONE AND THAT'S THE REASON K&P AQUACULTURE WAS CREATED. SHE SAW THE POTENTIAL the hobby HAD AT EDUCATING OTHERS IN NOT ONLY MARINE LIFE IDENTIFICATION, BUT IN RAISING AWARNESS ABOUT OUR OCEANS AND HOW TO CARE FOR IT. hER LONG TERM GOAL IS TO ONE DAY USE HER KNOWLEDGE AND CORALS TO HELP REBUILD REEFS AROUND THE  WORLD.

Our Mission

To use our aquariums as educative resources AND TO raise awareness on ocean sustainability. We offer detailed information and advice on every species available to help both beginner and expert aquarists maintain thriving healthy aquariums. Our business also goes beyond our facility to take part in wildlife restoration projects and work with larger nonprofit groups to restore habitats and educate the public on the importance of healthy ecosystems. Someday,  we hope to use our corals to replant and rebuild reefs around the world with their endemic corals.
