Originally known as Acanthastrea lordhowensis it has been reclassified in the micromussa lordhowensis family. While they can handle a range of lighting we are growing them around (150-200 PAR) with moderate to low flow. We have found that we get our best colors in lower light (100-150 PAR) and feed them meaty foods such as mysis and krill as well as broadcasting our Tetraselmis phytoplankton. Acans are known to change in appearance under different lighting and nutrients.
