WYSIWYG* Leptastrea is an often overlooked coral for one that’s been in the hobby for such a long time! This coral is a hardy encrusting coral that does well in moderately high indirect flow and moderate to low light (50-100 PAR) but has shown to adapt to high or low lighting. This particular species has been studied extensively due to its reproduction rate and its ability to adapt quickly to changes in its environment and is being used by scientists to understand more about about reef building corals and how they are adapting to today’s changing ocean climate.
