This echinopora lamellosa chalice is an encrusting aquacultured piece grown right here in our facility. This piece has grown well in captivity preferring moderately high lighting (PAR 80-150) with moderate flow. This can also bring out some orange coloration around the eye!
The genus Echinopora is actually part of the Family Faviidae despite growing and acting like other chalice species.
This species is broadcast fed our live phytoplankton, rotifers and enriched baby brine to ensure it gets proper nutrients. It is best to give this coral space from others as it can put out sweeper tentacles at night.
