Seriatopora caliendrum, or green birds nest is a thick branching coral that does very well for beginners looking to get into SPS. This particular one is locally aquacultured for many years and can grow quickly, tolerating a range of lighting and flow. We have found it to grow best in moderate to high lighting (PAR 150-250) with moderate to high flow. While this one has been aquacultured for many years, it originated from the east Africa or the Red Sea. Our SPS corals are broadcast fed our Nannochloropsis phytoplankton to insure healthy tissue and color.
