This is one of our favorite starter LPS corals. While this beautiful coral resembles a goniopora appearance wise, it has actually been reclassified in the acroporiidae family (Staghorn, montipora, acropora, etc)because of its light hollow pore skeleton. Alveopora species are much more forgiving and easier to keep than the goni species and have been found growing in many areas of the world in many different depths. For best coloration we are growing our in low to moderate lighting (80-150 PAR) with moderate flow. These corals also enjoy being fed. We are doing broadcast feedings of our Tetraselmis Phytoplankton daily.
