One of our favorite varieties of acan echinata. Also referred to as Starry Cup Coral, Echinata Coral, or Rainbow Acanthastrea. These are a type of brain coral and are a relatively easy, encrusting coral. They most often prefer low to moderate lighting (150-200 PAR) with moderate flow. Be sure to give this coral a few inches of space from others as it can send out sweeper tentacles at night to feed. This is an aquacultured piece, but originated around the Red Sea, Marshall Islands, and the Great Barrier Reef.
